Keep reading this summer and have fun, too!  This summer’s theme at Charlotte Community Library will be “Catch the Reading Bug”.  The summer program will begin on June 10th and end on August 15th.  Students in grades  PK-12th may participate.

Get ready for summer vacation by going on a trip around the world! Visit FlashEarth.com and read the following clues about 7 places:

1. Get an eyeful of this tower in Paris, France
2. This mountain may have you rushing out to see the faces.
3. Sure, China has a lot of walls, but are they really great?
4. If these burial tombs are good enough for a pharoah, they’re good enough for me!
5. Your favorite school in the whole wide world!
6. This island is well known for it’s special kind of fudge.
7. It take a lot of white paint to paint this house every four years

You will find great picture books to look through and read. As the site says, this is not the same as holding a book in your hands. If there is a book you really like, tell your mom or dad to go out and check it out at the Charlotte Community Library or buy it at a bookstore. Enjoy reading over the summer!
